Thinking

I am always thinking, sometimes I wish it would stop... for just a few minutes anyways. I am currently unemployed and the market really doesn't look that great for my field. With that said I have been doing a lot of researching about possible business ventures. Now I do try to sell a few crafts(burp cloths) on Etsy, but sales are not hot I just don't really know how to market an online store I guess. But aside from this idea nothing has really come to mind that could be really great, until a couple of days ago.

Eco friendly cleaning.

That's right. This is my new idea. There are a few cleaning ladies in this area but no comapnies and none that use eco friendly cleaners. I'm thinking genius right? I don't know you tell me! J seems supportive enough seeing how there really is very little start up expenses. Think some flyers, business cards, website, initial batch of cleaning products and items. I currently have lots of time on my hands to do this. I help J with his business by doing all of the paperwork and checking and what not as well as by merchandising some of his stores but nothing that would inhibit a business chance. So I am running by thenest right now and seeing what the women over there say. My parents are of course supportive so I just need to do Little more research than this may be a go, check with me in a few! I have already suckered a good friend into designing all of my marketing items for me so that is awesome. Well off to research hope everyone is having a great day!

Awesome Dinner

Okay so I hardly ever cook, not that I don't want to I just don't have much practice and most things seem to come out...not so good. Well tonight I made and old stand by from mom. Weinie wraps. Hot dog cut in 1/2 with half a slice of cheese wrapped in a croissant. Bake according to croissant directions = awesomeness! I served with J's favorite shells and cheese and green beans for something a little healthy! It was seriously delicious. J was like wow thse are good, I asked him if he thought they weren't going to be with the suprise in his voice :) HIs dad was here and seemed to enjoy them as well. Well I am off for the night, bath time. Wishing everyone a warm and happy evening.

Love family night

So usually once a week or at most every two weeks we have familt night with my parents and little brother. He is not so little but will always be my little! J and I always go over there as there is just more room. My mom made pizza tonight and we watched the Hangover. It was HILARIOUS, yes shouting that! I have not laughed so hard in a long time, very unrealistic but still funny. The whole family was cracking up. I love these kind of nights. We also took with us a good friend and our girls (furbabies) they love to get out of the house and love to see everyone else. So it was a nice group of us. I am on homebody so I love to do things either at our home or at home (my parents) so movie night is always good for me plus we are trying to stay on budget and doing thinggs like this is much more budget friendly! Well I am off for the night, going to go surf for some craft blogs. Night everyone!

Last Holiday

So we just got back from our last Holiday celebration of the season. My dads side of the family. I know I shouldn't favor one side over the other but this has always been my favorite. Until my grandma passed away however. She was the center of our family keeping everything running smoothly. Holidays were always at grandma and grandpas and Christmas was always celebrated on the Eve with this side. Since my grandmas passing 4 years ago our family has just turned into something I'm not very happy with. Nothing is the same. Two of the families have divorced which is so sad for so many reasons, this also causes us to have to work so hard to arrange a date that works for everyone. We used to draw names, now we play dirty santa, I don't really care for this game I like to by a gift for someone in particualr so I know I'm getting something that will be truly enjoyed and used. And well some of the new additions to the family don't mesh well with the rest of the family so it can get a bit strained :( But I mostly hate it because it reminds me that my grandma is not coming back and that things will never be the same. I hate this.

Overall though the night went well and we all seemed to have a decent time. J, my parents and my brother were all there, along with my little cousins to that is what is importnat to me!

Well I am going to call it an evening, hope everyone is having a nice night.

It's been a while

Wow, has life really been so busy as to where I could not update my blog from time to time? Nope, I have just been super lazy about it :) We have however been finishing up lots of little things around here in hopes that we will be able to sell early this spring/summer. We just built a new garage, and I'm glad to say it is mostly done, Justin is just working on a few things inside now. I had this notion in my head that it would just take a month or so...I mean it's just a garage right. Yep no way. Started in October just finished in December so a full 2 months and some days. But it looks great and adds a lot to the home and our property.

I in the mean time have taken up the hobby of sewing...yep i'm a beginner :) I have been sewing a ton of burp cloths, and if I do say so myself they are quite adorable. I have tons of friends who are pregnant and I like to give gifts which are useful as well as cute! So I love hte idea of homemade items. This is going to be one of hte new additions to me baby baskets that I give as gifts. They are super adorable, I shall post a picture one of these days. I plan to sell them on etsy as a little side cash but we'll see how that goes.

So how was everyones holidays? We had a very good holiday season this year, lots of friends and family around. Instead of wasting money on pointless gifts this year I made sweet baskets for those that we would normally gift to. I made oreo truffles (they were the biggest hit) chow mein clusters, frosted cream cheese sugar cookies, puppy chow, and mini turtles. I have received lots of feedback on how yummy everything was so I believe this shall be my new holiday plan. Every year I will do baskets of useful and enjoyable gifts, mostly edible of course!
Over Christmas we had friends staying with us, the day after Christmas she took a pregnancy test and I was lucky one to be able to tell her "YOUR PREGNANT!" and yes I did yell it. It was quite awesome to be able to tell someone something that htey have wanted to hear for quite some time. I know it is something neither of us will ever forget.

Well I must be going for the evening, I'm going to do a little sewing and then J and I will be going to my parents for pizza and movie night. Tonights movie "The Hangover" Hope it is as good as hte reviews have been.

Good Night.
